The Berea Arts Council is hosting a month-long exhibit that will feature works by members of the Kentucky Guild of Artisans and Craftsmen. The Exhibit runs through October 30 at ArtSpace, 116 Main St. in Berea, KY. ArtSpace gallery hours are 10 am to 4 p.m., Monday through Saturday.

According to Berea Arts Council Director Gwen Childs, the exhibit showcases the work of over 30 KGAC exhibiting members, many of whom were recently featured in the KGAC Fall Fair at Indian Fort Theater in Berea. Among the artists featured in the Berea exhibit are Deborah Hille, Wanda Franklin Greene, Dave Caudill, David Farmer, as well as other local painters, wood turners, sculptors and fiber artists.

This is the second year the Berea Arts Council has hosted an exhibit of KGAC work, which Childs says is an excellent opportunity for artists as well as local art enthusiasts. “I think the event is a nice way to showcase the Guild artists,” Childs said. “The Guild has a smaller space, which is not quite as accessible to the public. This gives artists and the public a better venue.” For further information about the exhibit, contact the Berea Arts Council (859) 985-9317 or the Kentucky Guild of Artists & Craftsmen (859) 986-3192.
