Living in Berea

I have been searching the web for ideas on a subject of discussion this Thanksgiving Season, but I can't seem to get focused. There is so much that occurred this past month that ways heavily on my mind. The D.C. sniper(s) who shot a now estimated 15 victims, the Theatre in Moscow where terrorist killed 118, the earthquake in Italy that killed an entire 1st grade of kids and teachers, two more suicide bombings in Israel, the recent storms across the US that left hundreds homeless and all this mixed with the bitter wet cold that swept right in without giving us a chance to even begin to enjoy this fall season.

With all of this in mind I only have one thought to share. Love yourself; your family and your neighbor, pray for the weary and distressed, help those you find in need and share with one another. Life is not built on what "happens" to you, good or bad. Instead, I believe life is a result how you choose to deal with what "happens" to you. I hope you can find reason to be thankful this season and find comfort in the people and places dear to you.

Happy Thanksgiving,

Chad Hembree
